Now recently, actor Boman Irani, who played the role of 'Dr. Asthana' in the first part of the film and 'Lucky' in the second part, has also shared an update about 'Munnabhai-3', which will definitely bring smiles on the faces of the fans.
What did Boman Irani say on Munna Bhai 3?
Boman Irani, who has played important roles in most of Rajkumar Hirani's films, recently hinted at an event of 'The Raja Saab' that he might be seen with Sanju Baba in 'Munna Bhai 3'. At the song launch of 'The Raja Saab', Boman Irani said, “Working with Sanjay Dutt is always special. Munna Bhai is not just a film, but an emotion. We are like a family and those moments spent together will stay with us for the rest of our lives.”
According to a report in Mid Day, when Boman was asked about the progress of Munna Bhai 3, he replied, “I am sure that when the right time and the right story are found, the third part of Munna Bhai will definitely be made. I have always manifested this in my heart and hope that soon we will all work together again.”
The relationship has grown stronger with time
Boman Irani, who has worked with Sanjay Dutt in several films, praised him, saying that his bond with Sanju Baba has grown stronger over time. He brings a completely different kind of energy to the set. Boman said that Sanjay Dutt makes the creative challenges and the environment on set completely comfortable.
Boman hinted that the next Munna Bhai franchise will definitely be released, but the timing remains unclear. Currently, Boman Irani and Sanjay Dutt will be seen sharing screen space in the Prabhas-starrer "The Raja Saab." The film will be released on January 9, 2026, in five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
