News Topical, Digital Desk : The White House has said regarding the H-100,000 visa policy that the new fee system of $100,000 is the first major step to prevent abuse. Defending the Trump administration's H-1B visa policy, White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers told IANS that President Trump has done more than any president in modern history to tighten immigration laws and prioritize American workers.

In fact, while talking to news agency IANS, the White House spokesperson said that "The $100,000 payment required for new H1-B visa applications is an important first step towards preventing abuse of the system and ensuring that American workers are no longer replaced by low-wage foreign workers.

Rogers also highlighted the recently launched "Project Firewall" to investigate companies violating H-1B visa rules. The Department of Labor has launched Project Firewall as a new enforcement initiative to investigate companies abusing the H1B visa system.

Protecting American workers

Rogers further said that the Trump administration is protecting American workers by restoring accountability to the H1-B process, ensuring it is used only to bring in the highest-skilled foreign workers in specialized occupations, not low-wage workers who would displace Americans.

The White House's response comes days after US President Donald Trump defended the program. When asked if his administration plans to remove H-1B visas from priority, he replied, "You have to bring in talent."

Conservative leaders demanded an end to

Trump's comments sparked an intense debate, with prominent Republican and conservative leaders calling for an end to the visa program. On Friday, Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene posted on Instagram reiterating her plan to introduce a bill to "ban H-1B visas in all fields" except the medical profession.

Marjorie Taylor Greene said that ending H-1B visas would also help the housing market. Ending H-1B visas means more jobs and more housing available for Americans. When Americans have well-paying jobs, they will be able to buy homes, provided they don't have to compete with legally imported workers on visas and wealthy, powerful asset management companies.
