The effect of pre-monsoon has also started appearing in many states of the country. The Meteorological Department told in which states of the country the effect of pre-monsoon is visible.

Pre-monsoon started appearing in these states

Senior scientist of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) RK Jenamani has given special information about the pre-monsoon. He said, 'Heavy rains have been observed almost everywhere in peninsular India covering Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, parts of Kerala and South Konkan and Goa, Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh in the last few days. Heavy rain activity is mainly in Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka. Where the maximum rain has occurred. Goa may also receive heavy rains in the coming days. This is pre-monsoon rain in all these places. 

Rain alert in many districts of Karnataka, Maharashtra

Meteorologist RK Jenamani said that an orange alert has been issued for Karnataka for May 20 and 21. A red alert has been issued for north interior Karnataka, south interior Karnataka and coastal Karnataka and adjoining areas of Tamil Nadu. Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra are likely to receive heavy rains on May 20 or on the night of May 21 to 22. Mumbai is also expected to receive heavy rains from the 21st (Wednesday). 

Light rain predicted in Delhi on Monday evening

The Meteorological Department scientist said that there is no possibility of heat wave intensifying for North India. Heat wave warning is limited to Rajasthan only. Heat wave may occur in some parts of South Haryana. There is no heat wave warning for Delhi. There is a possibility of dust storm in Delhi on Monday evening. During this time, there may be rain along with thunder.

Rain alert in Telangana for next 4 days

At the same time, Telangana IMD chief Nagaratna said, 'A cyclonic circulation of upper air is forming over the southeastern Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain at many places in Telangana during the next 4 days. In Telangana, there may be thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds at the speed of 30-40 kmph in the next four days.

Monsoon is expected to arrive in Kerala by May 27

The local meteorological department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rains. Temperatures in Telangana are expected to drop by 3-4 degrees Celsius due to heavy rains in many districts. Local meteorological department chief Nagarathna said that the monsoon mainly begins in the South Arabian Sea. The monsoon is expected to arrive in Kerala by May 27.
