News Topical, Digital Desk : The US has raided a Venezuelan military base, arrested President Nicolas Maduro, and imprisoned him in Brooklyn. Trump has since claimed that the American public has resonated with his attack. He claims that American citizens are happy with Maduro's arrest and the attack on Venezuela.

Many Trump supporters are praising the attack, but are they all as enthusiastic as Trump claims? The Associated Press reported on the American public's reaction to the attack. However, the report shows mixed reactions. Some are fully in favor, while others are concerned that it could drag America into a new war.

Trump says his voters are thrilled by the attack, saying, "That's why we voted for him." Trump promised in the election that America would come first and stay out of foreign conflicts, but the military action in Venezuela without congressional approval has forced his "Make America Great Again" supporters to reconsider.

What are the reactions of Trump supporters?

"So far, I support him. As long as he doesn't mess things up, I'm with him," said Paul Bonner, 67, wandering through a Trump merchandise store in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. He praises the operation, but Trump's increasing talk that the US will intervene further in Venezuela or flex its muscles in Latin America is troubling some supporters.

Chase Lewis, a 24-year-old from Philadelphia, Mississippi, found the move shocking. "It's good that Venezuelans are free from dictatorship," he said, "but what price will we have to pay?"

Lewis, who works as an electrician apprentice, fears that his friends in the military could be drawn into a new war. He reminds us that Trump promised to stay away from new wars during his election campaign. "It's worth seeing if this is the start of a war," he says.

'More such operations should be done'

"I'm happy we took down a dictator who was sending us drugs," said Travis Garcia, 45, of Castle Rock, Colorado. "If we don't, who will?" Garcia, a remodeler, considers Trump a strong leader who follows through on his promises and isn't afraid of other countries.

Flight attendant Mary Lussier, 48, found the operation so impressive that she says she'd love for more like it to happen. She recalls videos of Venezuelans celebrating and says the world would be better off with fewer bad leaders. But she adds that American troops shouldn't be stuck in a protracted war. Her support hinges on the operation's cleanliness and bravery.
