Following this, US President Donald Trump has repeatedly warned other countries. Now, Trump has revealed what might prevent him from taking military action against other countries.

Who can stop Donald Trump?

US President Donald Trump said in an interview published on Thursday, January 8, that the only constraint on his power to take military action around the world is his "own morality."

When the US President was asked if there was any limit to his global powers, Donald Trump said, “Yes, there is only one thing. My own morality. My own mind. That's the only thing that can stop me.”

'No need for international law'

Trump further stated that "I don't need international law. I don't want to harm people." Trump said he was required to follow international law, but added that "it depends on what your definition of international law is."

The United States is not a member of the International Criminal Court (ICC), which prosecutes war criminals, and has repeatedly rejected rulings by the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the UN's highest court.
