News Topical, Digital Desk : US President Donald Trump, speaking to reporters on Sunday, launched a scathing attack on the regime led by Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Trump claimed that Iranian leaders, who are grappling with massive anti-government protests in the country, have all contacted him for talks.
A meeting is underway to address this issue. However, he clearly warned that action may have to be taken before the meeting.
Responding to questions about possible retaliation by Iran or its allies, Trump said, “If they do, we will punish them on a level they've never faced before.”
US President Donald Trump has said that Iran's leadership, led by Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, had called him to talk following his threats of military action amid massive anti-government protests in the Islamic Republic.
"If it appears they're starting to do that, and some people have been murdered who shouldn't have been murdered, if you call them leaders, they're violent. I don't know if they're leaders or if they just rule through violence. But if they do, we may have to take action before the meeting," Trump said.

Regarding the ongoing protests in Iran, Trump said that he was receiving minute-by-minute updates about the situation inside Iran, and "we will make a decision." Responding to questions about potential retaliation by Iran or its allies, Trump issued a clear warning. "If they do, we will give them a befitting reply like they've never received before. They won't believe it," he said.
