News Topical, Digital Desk : The long military clash between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terrorist attack has now stopped. India has taught Pakistan and its associated terrorist organizations a lesson that they will always remember. After Pakistan's appeal, an agreement has been reached between the two countries regarding ceasefire. Meanwhile, a large number of users on social media have raised questions on the decision to stop the conflict between India and Pakistan. In such a situation, India's former Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane has said a big thing on this issue. General Naravane has said that war is neither romantic nor a Bollywood film.
My first priority would have been diplomacy – Naravane
In fact, former Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane was addressing a program in Pune on Sunday. During this, he said that if he got orders, he would be ready for war, but his first priority would always be diplomacy. The former Army Chief further said that when artillery shells fall, people living near the border and especially children have to run to take shelter. This leaves a deep pain on his mind.
War is not a romantic thing- Naravane
General Naravane further said that "War is not a romantic thing. This is not your Bollywood movie. It is a serious subject. War or violence should be the last option. Our Prime Minister has also said that this is not the era of war. Even if unreasonable people impose war on us, we should not welcome it. Still people are asking why we have not fought a war with full force till now. As a soldier, if ordered, I will go to war, but that will not be my first choice."
Violence is not the solution to the problem- Naravane
General Naravane said that his first choice would be diplomacy. Disputes must be resolved through dialogue and armed conflict must not be allowed to arise. Naravane further said, "We are all equal stakeholders in national security. We should try to resolve disputes through dialogue, not only between two countries but also between ourselves, our families, states, regions and communities." Naravane said that violence is not the solution to any problem.
