Vinayak Chaturthi is celebrated every year on the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan. This year Hariyali Amavasya is on 24th July. Vinayak Chaturthi is celebrated four days after Hariyali Amavasya or Sawan Amavasya. Lord Ganesha is worshipped on this auspicious occasion.

According to the Vedic calendar, the Chaturthi Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan will begin at 10:41 pm on July 27. At the same time, the Chaturthi Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Sawan will end at 11:24 pm on July 28. In Sanatan Dharma, the date is calculated from sunrise. For this, Vinayak Chaturthi will be celebrated on July 28.
