Lucknow: The written examination for recruitment to 60,244 posts of constable civil police in Uttar Pradesh Police will begin from Friday. For this, strict security arrangements have been made in a total of 1,174 examination centers in 67 districts. Surveillance of every 24 candidates will be ensured through a CCTV camera.
48,17,441 candidates will appear in the exam
The exam will be held on 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 August in two shifts, in which a total of 48,17,441 candidates will participate. 6,30,481 candidates from 27 other states and eight union territories will also try their luck in the exam. Entry of candidates will be banned half an hour before the scheduled time of the exam. After this, no one will be able to enter the examination center.
25 thousand policemen were put on duty
2,300 magistrates and 25,000 policemen have been deployed to conduct the examination in a safe, fair and transparent manner. A case has been registered in Lucknow's Hussainganj police station by the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board against those who tried to cheat the candidates by making false claims of paper leak through 11 Telegram channels on the internet media.
STF is also investigating. According to Recruitment Board Chairman/DG Rajeev Krishna, Aadhaar of all the candidates has been verified. Analysis has also been done through Artificial Intelligence (AI).
There will be a change in the timings of some trains
Eight special trains will run for the candidates. Eight special trains will be run by the Prayagraj division of North Central Railway for the police recruitment exam. The tentative timetable of the trains has been released. The timings of some trains will be changed. On 23, 24, 25, 30 and 31 August, the train will run from Prayagraj to Chopan via Chunar. It will operate at 3 pm.
Memu special from Subedarganj to Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction will run at 6.30 pm on the day of examination. Special train from Prayagraj to Banda, Lalitpur via Manikpur, Chitrakoot Dham will run at 8.30 pm on the exam dates.
Apart from this, special trains will also be operated between Kanpur-Farrukhabad, Kanpur-Ghaziabad, Kanpur-Lalitpur. The MEMU train running between Kanpur and Fatehpur will run till Subedarganj. Similarly, it has been decided to run Etawah-Kanpur MEMU till Lucknow, Aligarh-Kanpur MEMU till Banda, Kanpur-Tundla MEMU till Khurja and Phanphud-Shikohabad MEMU till Tundla.
Four people including a constable were taken into custody on suspicion of tampering in the constable recruitment exam
On Thursday, STF detained four people including a woman constable living in Bansgaon town of Gorakhpur district on the suspicion of rigging in the constable recruitment exam. Along with STF, the crime branch of Gorakhpur district is questioning everyone. Admit cards of five candidates have been found in the mobile phone of the woman constable, she is claiming all of them to be her relatives.
