Ghaziabad: Namo Bharat Train has started from Meerut South to Sahibabad on Sunday, 18th August. Passengers enjoyed the thrill of their first journey.

The train reached Sahibabad, 42 kms away, in just 29 minutes, picking up a speed of 160 kms from Meerut South. When the first rapid rail left for Sahibabad from Meerut South, i.e. Bhudbaral, on Sunday, the elderly passengers were the happiest.

Operation of train saves expenses during festivals

Passengers were happy as the Namo Bharat train started operating a day before Raksha Bandhan. They said that with the Namo Bharat train running, not only will they be able to travel to Meerut soon, but time and money will also be saved. In this way, they will also get rid of the extra expenses incurred during the festival.

There is no metro facility available for commuting between Meerut and Sahibabad. Before the Namo Bharat train started operating, buses and trains were the main means of public transport.

People got relief from expensive rent

During festivals, due to the large number of passengers in trains and buses, one has to spend more time to travel in these vehicles. Due to the increase in the number of passengers in public transport, if seats are not available, people have to travel by booking private vehicles or private taxis, which costs more.

On the occasion of festivals, private taxi drivers also charge higher rates. Now with the start of Namo Bharat train operations, people will not have to face such problems.

Trains will be available at an interval of 15 minutes

The high-speed Namo Bharat train will be available for passengers from 6 am to 10 pm at its operating stations (Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Muradnagar North, Muradnagar, Modinagar South, Modinagar North, Meerut South) at an interval of 15 minutes.

How much is the fare?

The fare for travelling in a standard coach from Meerut South Station of Namo Bharat to Sahibabad Station will be Rs 110 and for travelling in a premium coach the fare will be Rs 220. Namo Bharat's Ghaziabad station is just a few steps away from the Metro's Naya Bus Adda Shaheed Sthal station, so passengers can also travel to Delhi by boarding the Metro from here.
