Firozabad : Khairgarh police station caught a smuggler with a consignment of liquor in a loader vehicle. 85 boxes of illegal liquor were found in the vehicle. The consignment of liquor was being transported hidden in fruit crates. According to the police, 4080 packets worth five lakh rupees were recovered from the boxes.

The liquor smuggler absconded from the spot.

Inspector Anil Kumar said that Kishan Jaiswal, a resident of CK 49/4 Bulletin near Hanumanbada, Varanasi, was arrested near village Shyavari on Thursday night.

Taking advantage of the darkness, four liquor smugglers fled. The names of the smugglers who fled are Hanif alias Usman Khan Shyawari and Hritik Patna Bihar. The names and addresses of the two are unknown. During police interrogation, the accused said that he, along with his gang members, smuggled Uttar Pradesh brand liquor to Bihar. The liquor boxes were being transported in fruit crates.
