Bareilly : The murderous wife killed her husband in collusion with her lover to end her illicit relationship. Additional Sessions Judge-1st Harendra Bahadur Singh has sentenced the guilty wife and her husband to life imprisonment. The court has also imposed a fine of three thousand rupees on the culprits.

This is the case in the year 2021

The incident occurred on 8 February 2021 in Khudaganj Dhantia village of Mirganj. Omkar was married about five years ago. He had no children. He got his wife treated for many years, but was disappointed. Omkar used to go to Punjab to work as a labourer. During this time, Omkar's maternal uncle Charan Singh, resident of Basavanpur Shahi, started visiting the house more often.

The dead body was found in a mustard field.

Charan Singh used to take Omkar's wife Bhuri on his bike for exorcism. On the night of 8 February 2021, Omkar went to watch Bhagwat in the village with his wife, mother and brother. All the family members returned home at midnight, but Omkar and Bhuri did not return home. In the morning, Omkar's body was found lying in a mustard field far away from the village. The deceased's uncle, Murari Lal, lodged a report at Mirganj police station.

When the police retrieved the CDR of the mobile conversation between Charan Singh and Bhuri, it was found that there were long conversations between them. There was a conversation on the night of the incident as well. The deceased's mother, brother and uncle told the court as witnesses that the deceased had seen Charan Singh in an objectionable condition with his wife many times. He had also beaten his wife. Charan Singh often came to Omkar's house and the two would spend a lot of time together. The postmortem report revealed that the deceased was murdered by strangulation.
