News Topical, Digital Desk : US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene is introducing a bill to completely eliminate the H-1B visa program. This bill aims to not only eliminate the visa program entirely but also close the path to citizenship.

People will be forced to return home when their visas expire. This visa is particularly popular among Indian professionals. Republican Green is a member of the House of Representatives, the lower house of Parliament.

Trump defended

She is going to introduce this bill at a time when recently President Donald Trump, while defending the H-1B visa program, had said that America needs to bring talent from all over the world because our country does not have certain talent.

What did MP Green say?

"My dear fellow Americans, I am introducing a bill that proposes to completely eliminate the H-1B visa program. This program has long been rife with fraud and abuse. It has been costing Americans jobs for decades," Greene, the Georgia congresswoman, said in a video posted on Twitter on Thursday.

He said the bill would have only one exemption and a limit of 10,000 visas per year for medical professionals such as doctors and nurses who provide life-saving services to Americans.
