News Topical, Digital Desk : The weather in Uttar Pradesh is experiencing constant fluctuations these days. Sometimes it's sunny and sometimes it's raining, causing temperatures to drop. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will vary across the state today. Some will experience heat relief due to sunshine, while others will experience relief from rain. This trend will continue in the coming days. 

The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms and rain showers in most parts of the western region of the state today, including Noida, Ghaziabad, and Agra. These districts will remain cloudy through the morning, with thunderstorms and lightning expected in many areas. There is also a possibility of severe dust storms in these districts. 

Light to moderate rain is also expected at isolated places in the eastern division of the state. However, the weather will remain dry in Ayodhya, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Gorakhpur. These districts will see sunshine, and the heat may be a nuisance. The capital, Lucknow, is also on a rain alert today, with strong winds. The maximum temperature here will be 37 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 21 degrees Celsius.

Rain from Noida to Agra and Lucknow 

In Uttar Pradesh, many areas including Noida , Ghaziabad , Meerut, Bulandshahr, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Shamli, Saharanpur, Hapur, Mathura, Aligarh, Agra, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Mainpuri, and Firozabad will be covered in dark clouds and will experience thunderstorms and rain. Warnings have been issued for thunderstorms and strong surface winds of up to 40-50 kmph in these districts. 

Meanwhile, in Bijnor, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Etawah, Auraiya, Kanpur, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Jhansi, Mahoba, Banda, and Lalitpur, rain alerts have been issued, accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds. Lightning warnings have also been issued in some areas. 

Light to moderate rain with thundershowers will occur at one or two places in Moradabad, Rampur, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Sitapur, Barabanki, Lucknow, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Fatehpur, Kaushambi and Chitrakoot. Strong surface wind alert has also been issued in these districts. 

Rain brings relief from the heat

This sudden change in weather will also affect temperatures. According to the Meteorological Department, the storm and rain will cause a gradual drop in maximum temperatures by 3-4 degrees Celsius over the next three days. After this, the heat will begin to increase again. The storm and rain could damage Rabi crops.
