CM Yogi has announced that this fiscal year, 2026-27, will see bumper recruitment for over 81,000 posts in the UP Police, providing new employment opportunities for the youth. CM Yogi has issued directives in this regard. He stated that the recruitment process should be completely transparent.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a review meeting with the police department in Lucknow on Thursday, attended by top police officials. During the meeting, Chief Minister Yogi announced that 81,000 police personnel will be recruited in Uttar Pradesh this fiscal year. He urged officials to strictly adhere to reservation rules in this process.
CM Yogi gave a gift to the youth
The Chief Minister's Office provided information in this regard, stating, "Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the ongoing activities and future action plans of various units of the police department in Lucknow. He stated that preparations are underway to fill over 81,000 positions in the UP Police in the financial year 2026-27, which will provide employment opportunities to youth and provide the state with a capable, energetic, and modern police force."

The Chief Minister directed that merit and reservation rules be strictly followed in every selection, and that purity, transparency, and timeliness be ensured. In this meeting, CM Yogi once again emphasized his zero-tolerance policy, saying that corruption will not be tolerated in the state. Swift action should be taken against such individuals.
While reviewing the PRV-112 service, CM Yogi said that efforts should be made to further reduce the current average response time of approximately 6 minutes. He directed that strategic locations for PRV vehicles be established and their continuous movement be ensured, to strengthen public confidence in their safety and send a clear message to criminals.
