News Topical, Digital Desk : This is not the first time that India has given a befitting reply to Pakistan on big platforms. While making a statement on behalf of India in the open debate of the United Nations Security Council on conflict-related sexual violence, Mathew Punnoose, India's Permanent Mission to the United Nations, showed the mirror to Pakistan.

India fiercely attacked Pakistan in the UN

He said that the fearless way in which the Pakistani army committed heinous crimes of extreme sexual violence against lakhs of women in the then East Pakistan in 1971 is shameful. This reprehensible process continues even today without any hindrance and fear. Let us tell you that even today girls are kidnapped in broad daylight in Sindh and Punjab provinces of Pakistan.

The oppressors must be brought to justice- India

Further speaking at the UNSC meeting, Indian diplomat Aldous Mathew Punnoose said that perpetrators of heinous acts of conflict-related sexual violence must be strongly condemned and brought to justice.

Persecution against religious and ethnic minority communities in Pakistan

He said reports and details of mass abduction, trafficking, child and forced marriage, domestic servitude, sexual violence and forced conversion of thousands of vulnerable women and girls as weapons of repression against religious and ethnic minority communities in Pakistan have also been documented in recently released OHCHR reports.

Hateful acts are also recognized by Pakistani judiciary

Reports also say that these heinous acts of Pakistan are also recognized by its judiciary. This is ironic. Those who perpetrate these crimes are now pretending to be advocates of justice. This hypocrisy and deceit is self-evident.
