Apprenticeship will benefit candidates

Railway apprenticeships provide practical experience. Along with bookish knowledge, candidates gain hands-on experience in the industry. They gain a thorough understanding of machines, tools, and technical processes, making them a skilled employee. The biggest advantage of an apprenticeship with the Indian Railways is that those who complete their apprenticeship receive special reservations for future Group D recruitments and are exempted from the physical efficiency test.

Benefits are also available in the private sector

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate receives a National Apprenticeship Certificate, issued by the National Council for Vocational Training. This certificate is widely accepted for government and private sector jobs throughout India. Candidates also receive a government-mandated stipend during the training period, allowing them to become somewhat financially independent during their education.

better employment opportunities

During an apprenticeship, candidates can easily find work opportunities not only with the Railways but also with other large private sector companies, as these companies prioritize candidates with practical work experience. Candidates also have the opportunity to work with experienced engineers and technicians, strengthening both their professional skills and networking.
