News Topical, Digital Desk : Police have taken action against three doctors who violated traffic rules in Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka. They were riding their bikes and drinking beer to celebrate completing their Master of Science (MS) degree in orthopedics.

The three doctors, including a woman, were triple riding on the road. Two of them were not wearing helmets. The pillion rider was wearing a helmet, but he was riding in traffic while holding a beer bottle.

The incident occurred on 16th Main Street between BTM Layout and Jayadeva Junction around 10 p.m. Sunday. A passerby filmed the incident and shared it on social media, which went viral. Following the video, police took suo motu cognizance and filed an FIR for negligent driving on a public road.

All three doctors were identified

Police have identified the three doctors as Dhanush, Apoorva, and Avinash, all residents of South Bengaluru. Dhanush works at Saptagiri Medical College in Chikkabanavara, Apoorva, also known as Prapoorna, works at Vaidehi Hospital, and Avinash works at Chamundeshwari Medical College in Channapatna, Bengaluru South district.

Police released

The police summoned the three doctors to the police station, where they stated that they had partied at a bar and restaurant to celebrate the completion of their MS degrees in orthopedics. However, they were released on police bail, as the charges mentioned in the FIR were bailable.

"Before leaving for the party, Avinash took a half-empty beer bottle with him. Holding the bottle, he rode pillion on the bike with Dhanush and Apurva," the police officer said.
