News Topical, Digital Desk : Many users in the United States experienced problems with the TikTok app on Sunday, January 25. According to the Down Detector website, more than 35,000 users reported outages.

With TikTok down, 65% of users reported problems with the app not working properly, 23% reported a complete outage, and 13% reported problems with their TikTok feed.

TikTok owner changed in America

TikTok recently finalized a deal to form a new US company. This app outage comes just days after the deal was finalized. However, TikTok has not yet officially acknowledged the outage.

TikTok's Chinese owner, ByteDance, struck a deal with a group of non-Chinese investors to create a new US TikTok company, following threats by the US to ban TikTok.

The TikTok deal ends a six-year legal saga that had previously been caught in the political tussle between two global superpowers.
