News Topical, Digital Desk : A tragic incident occurred in the Kalkaji area of ​​South Delhi on Friday (December 12) afternoon. Three members of the same family committed suicide. The incident occurred at house number G-70B, Kalkaji. According to police, the Kalkaji police station received a PCR call at around 2:47 pm. The court official (bailiff) and local police officers who responded had arrived at the house to enforce a court possession order.

Police used a duplicate key to enter the house.

Despite knocking on the door several times, there was no response. The police then used a duplicate key to enter the house. Upon entering, the scene left everyone stunned.

Mention of depression in suicide note

Anuradha Kapoor (52), her sons Ashish Kapoor (32) and Chaitanya Kapoor (27) were found hanging from a ceiling fan. A suicide note was recovered from the scene, which mentioned the family's long-standing history of depression. Initial investigations suggest that mental stress was the reason for this extreme step. Police have sent the three bodies to the AIIMS mortuary.

The woman had attempted suicide three weeks ago as well – neighbour

Police are currently investigating all aspects of the incident and trying to understand the circumstances the family was facing. A neighbor said, "The police came around 4 pm today and then we learned that the entire family had committed suicide. About three weeks ago, Anuradha ji had also tried to commit suicide by slitting her veins, and the police had also come here." DCP (Southeast) Hemant Tiwari said that the handwritten note suggests that the family was going through emotional distress, which may have led them to take this extreme step.
