News Topical, Digital Desk : Director Aditya Dhar's film "Dhurandhar" has crossed the ₹200 crore mark at the box office in India in its first run. Inspired by real-life events and criminal gangs in Karachi's Lyari area, the film is based on true events and depicts India's fight against terrorism in Pakistan.
Why is Aditya Dhar not coming forward?
The film stars Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt. Despite the immense success of Dhurandhar, Aditya has maintained a low profile since its release. He has avoided interviews, podcasts, and public appearances. Everyone has been wondering why Aditya isn't discussing his success. Now, Rakesh Bedi, who played Jameel Jamali in the film, has answered the question.
Half the film is out now - Rakesh
In an interview with Filmigyan, Rakesh Bedi said, "This year, Dhurandhar is such a big hit, and it's just the beginning. This is half the film, the other half is still left. But he's not in the limelight. He's not giving interviews or talking to anyone. He's gone home and sitting with his family." He's not like, "Oh, I did this, I did that..." He's not busy with pomp and show.
Following the release of Dhurandhar, Aditya accompanied his wife, actress Yami Gautam, to the sacred Naina Devi Temple in Himachal Pradesh. Yami's mother, Anjali Gautam, and several other family members also accompanied them to the temple. The family performed traditional rituals during their visit.
