The thieves say that when they tried to enter a house and steal, the villagers together beat them badly.

One of the people who had entered to steal was badly injured due to the beating by the villagers, while three others were also injured. Two of his other companions managed to escape. The incident took place in Jagannathpur police station area of ​​Ranchi.

What did the thief complain about in the FIR

Vijay Kumar, a resident of Asansol in Bengal, who was arrested on charges of theft, has said in the FIR that he and his five companions entered a house with the intention of stealing at around 1 am on the night of June 4-5. All of them together took out a gold chain and some cash from the cupboard of the house.

Meanwhile, the house owner woke up. He shouted 'thief, thief' and everyone together gagged him. Even after this, he did not come under control, so they took him to a well near the house and tried to drown him.

All the thieves belong to the famous “Lungi-Baniyan” gang

Meanwhile, the villagers also arrived and surrounded them. Vijay Kumar has said in his complaint that the villagers beat him badly, due to which his left hand is broken. His three other companions Kamlesh Chauhan, Pankaj Dom and Jaan Singh were also beaten, due to which they have suffered serious injuries. Two other companions Madu Chauhan and Karan Chauhan managed to escape. Vijay Kumar, accused of theft, has demanded legal action against the villagers who beat him. On the morning of June 5, an FIR was lodged against the four people whom the villagers of Satyari Tola caught and handed over to the police on charges of theft on the same day.

It is said that all these thieves belong to the famous "Lungi-Baniyan" gang. While stealing, these people wear lungi-baniyan and keep oil on their body, so that if someone tries to catch them, they can easily free themselves and run away.
