News Topical, Digital Desk : Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US President Donald Trump on Monday, sealing several deals between the two countries. The Pentagon announced Monday that Boeing has been awarded an $8.6 billion contract for the Israeli F-15 fighter jet program.

US gives 25 F-15 fighter jets to Israel

The Pentagon said, 'Boeing has been awarded a contract worth up to $8.58 billion to design, build and deliver 25 new F-15IA aircraft for the Israeli Air Force, including an option for 25 additional aircraft.' The US has long been the largest arms supplier to its closest Middle Eastern ally.

US support continues despite Gaza attacks

Pro-Palestinian and anti-war protesters across the United States have demanded an end to Washington's military support for Israel following Israel's devastating assault on Gaza, but those demands have not been met under the administrations of President Donald Trump and former President Joe Biden.

The contract work will be performed in St. Louis, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2035, the Pentagon said in a statement.
