News Topical, Digital Desk : A sensational case has come to light in which an undertrial prisoner, imprisoned behind bars for rape, threatened to kill the victim. Taking the victim's complaint seriously, the Kotwali police have registered a case under relevant sections.
Now, based on technical evidence, the police are trying to determine how the victim received the threat from inside the jail. Who all are involved in this conspiracy? Ranjeet, son of Om Prakash, a resident of Sikta village, Walterganj police station, who is in jail for a serious crime like rape, contacted the victim by phone.
It is reported that the accused called the victim on March 30, 2026, at 6:44 am, not only verbally abusing her, but also directly threatening to kill her brother if she did not withdraw the case and seek a settlement. This threat, coming from inside the jail, has left the victim and her family in a state of panic.
The victim went to the police station and filed a written complaint, which caused a stir within the police department. Acting swiftly, the police have registered a case against the accused. To provide a scientific direction to the investigation, the police are extracting the CDR (Call Detail Record) of the mobile phone from which the threat was made.
