News Topical, Digital Desk : Acharya Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, the head priest of Bageshwar Dham, began a 10-day padayatra on Friday. The padayatra will run from November 7th to 16th, passing through Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. According to Baba Bageshwar, this 145-kilometer padayatra is being undertaken to bring unity among Hindus, eliminate casteism, and spread the message of patriotism. At a press conference, he said, “From November 7th to 16th, we are covering three states: Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. This is the second padayatra of our lives. We only want awakening among Hindus. We want to eradicate casteism and discrimination from its roots.”
'The country needs nationalism, not casteism'
Baba Bageshwar said, "The country needs nationalism, not casteism. Our Hindu children and your children should be safe, the country should not be Islamized. There should be no riots in the country, the Ganga should spread. That is why we are undertaking this padayatra. We are fighting for Hindus. There may be castes, but there should not be casteism. The country belongs to everyone. This padayatra is for every party that has Hindus. That is why we have invited everyone. If the caste conflict in the country ends, Hindus will unite."
'40,000 people participate, 7 oaths taken every day'
Acharya Shastri stated that the padyatra would begin each day with the national anthem and the Hanuman Chalisa. He said, "This 145-kilometer-long padyatra will begin with the national anthem and the Hanuman Chalisa. Seven oaths will be taken daily. 40,000 pilgrims have already registered. People are coming from every corner and every street of the country. There are 800 million Hindus in the country. We are reaching every village and every street and fighting for them all. Our sole aim is Hindu unity and Sanatan unity. We are not undertaking the padyatra against Muslims, but in support of Hindus."
"We don't want the moon on the tricolor, we want the tricolor on the moon."
Baba Bageshwar said, "Those who love Hindutva, love Sanatan, love the tricolor are coming for this padyatra. Some people want to see the moon in the tricolor. We want to see the tricolor on the moon." He added that letters have been sent to the presidents of all political parties, inviting them. He said, "We have invited all parties. Those who have the passion for Hindutva and the ideology of Hindutva in their hearts are welcome to come." (ANI)
