News Topical, Digital Desk : Teachers and students from several Chinese universities in Beijing participated in the World Hindi Day 2026 celebrations organized by the Indian Embassy here. Many Chinese students also sang Bollywood songs.
At the event held in China on Friday, Indian Ambassador Pradeep Kumar Rawat highlighted the role of Hindi as an important bridge between India and China and stressed its growing reputation as a global language.
Dr. Jiang Jingkui, Dean, Professor of the Institute of International and Area Studies, Tsinghua University and a renowned Hindi expert in China, shared valuable insights on the important role of the Hindi language in understanding India at the meeting.
Teachers and students from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Beijing International Studies University and Communication University of China joined other language lovers to celebrate its vibrancy and cultural richness.
The Embassy honored the winners of various competitions, such as storytelling, poetry, and short video production, for their enthusiasm and creativity. Lively cultural performances added color to the celebrations.
