Taylor is being questioned by US authorities. He has not shared any details about the investigation. However, court filings indicate that Taylor spoke to a friend about Charlie. He wrote, referring to Charlie by name, “I hate him deeply, and some hatreds cannot be resolved through dialogue.”
Taylor said in a note written for her friend-
I've got a chance to replace Charlie Kirk and I'm going to do it.
Taylor explained the reason for the murder.
When Taylor's partner asked if it was a joke, Taylor replied, “I'm perfectly fine. I'm busy with something. But it won't be long before I get home. I have my rifle in my hand. I thought I'd never tell anyone this secret until my death, but I apologize for involving you in it.”
Taylor's partner asked if he had killed Charlie Kirk. Taylor replied, "I'm sorry." Explaining his reason for killing Charlie, Taylor said, "Some things are just hate, and they can't be resolved through discussion."
Charlie died last week.
Charlie Kirk, 31, a close confidante of Trump and owner of Turning Point USA, was delivering a speech at Utah Valley University last week when Taylor, 22, fired a shot at him, striking him squarely in the neck. Charlie died at the scene.
