News Topical, Digital Desk : There are signs of improvement in relations between India and the US. After a cordial exchange of tweets between US President Trump and PM Narendra Modi, US Ambassador-designate to India Sergio Gor claimed that there is not much difference between India and the US on the issue of tariffs. Both countries are very close to an agreement on this issue.

These issues will be resolved in a few weeks

Gore expressed hope that these issues will be resolved in the next few weeks. It is worth noting that on Tuesday, Trump had said that his administration is preparing points of discussion to resolve trade barriers with India.

Sergio Gor, who appeared before the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee for his confirmation, also claimed that President Trump is committed to meeting the leaders of the Quad countries and strengthening the organization. However, he did not mention the exact date.

Gore to be the youngest US ambassador

It is worth noting that a summit of the Quad countries, Australia, Japan and the US is proposed in India in November, in which there is confusion over President Trump's participation. In view of the deteriorating relations on the tariff issue, Trump's visit to India was being considered cancelled.

Last month, President Donald Trump promoted Sergio Gor, who was the director of the Office of Presidential Personnel, as ambassador to India and diplomat for South and Central Asian affairs. If Gor's appointment is confirmed, 38-year-old Gor will be the youngest US ambassador to India so far.

US-India relations top relations in the world: Rubio

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that relations between India and America are of the highest level in the world and these two countries will decide what the future world will be like. In such a situation, these relations are going through a phase of extraordinary change.

Rubio said this while introducing Sergio Gor, nominated as US Ambassador to India, to the Senate Foreign Affairs Committee.

He said that he has known Gore for a long time. Rubio said that the story of the 21st century will be written in the Indo-Pacific way. In fact, our relations are so important that we have named the combat command as Indo-Pacific, while India is at the center of it.
