News Topical, Digital Desk : The logo of the Supreme Court has changed once again. The new logo has been removed and the old logo has been restored again. Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice BR Gavai has restored the old logo of the Supreme Court.
Not only this, the glass doors installed in the corridors of the Supreme Court will also be removed. The Supreme Court will return to its old form. These changes made in the Supreme Court by the new CJI Gavai are important.
The lawyers association had objected
The Supreme Court Lawyers Association had objected to the change of the Supreme Court emblem by former CJI Justice DY Chandrachud and air-conditioning of the Supreme Court corridor by installing glass doors to prevent hot and cold winds.
The lawyers' association said that installing glass doors changes the basic structure of the Supreme Court, which is not right. It is believed that CJI Gavai has decided to make these changes keeping in mind the objections of the Supreme Court Bar Association and the lawyers.
Justice Chandrachud made the changes
- The new logo of the Supreme Court has now been removed from the Supreme Court website and the old logo has returned. In September last year, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Supreme Court, the Supreme Court had released the new logo. At that time Justice DY Chandrachud was the Chief Justice of India (CJI).
- That new logo had Ashok Chakra, Supreme Court building and Constitution of India depicted on it. It also had written on it that 'Yato Dharmastato Jai' means where there is Dharma, there is victory. However, now the old logo has been restored. 'Yato Dharmastato Jai' is also the motto of Supreme Court and it is also in the old logo.
Glass doors will also be removed
New CJI BR Gavai has also decided to remove the glass doors installed in the corridors of the Supreme Court to prevent hot and cold winds and to make the corridors air-conditioned and has decided to restore the Supreme Court to its earlier traditional form.
On May 23, during the hearing of cases in the court, the CJI had said that these glass doors and walls will be removed and the court will return to its original form. However, after the removal of the glass doors, the corridor will again become non-air conditioned.
