Not because of film stars, but because of stars i.e. fate. The filmmaker told that Karisma and Sanjay Kapoor's sister were friends since childhood. He had never seen Karisma and Sanjay as a couple. According to him, Karisma and Sanjay's union was written in fate.'

He further said, 'When Karisma got married, she wanted to be a housewife and stay at home. She had seen everything in her life. Now she just wanted to spend all her time at home. She is a very nice girl. But Karisma became a trophy for Sanjay Kapoor's family and things went bad from there.'
