New Delhi : Worship of Shani Dev has special importance in Hinduism. Saturday is dedicated to the worship of the God of Justice. Obeisance to the dreadful dreadful frightening Kapali.

Obeisances unto You, who devour everything, O face of Bali.

O son of the sun I offer my obeisances unto thee O Sun bestower of fearlessness.

Obeisances unto You, whose eyes are below, O annihilator, Obeisances unto You.

Obeisance to Thee, who move slowly, Obeisance to Thee, who art free from the sword.

He was always engaged in yoga, his body burnt by austerities.

"Obeisance to you who are always hungry and never satisfied"

O son of Kaśyapa, the eye of knowledge, I offer my obeisances unto You.

Satisfied you give the kingdom and angry you take it away instantly.

There were also demigods, demons, human beings, Siddhas, Vidyādharas and serpents.

All those seen by you are completely destroyed"
