New Delhi. When is Nag Panchami 2024: The festival of Nag Panchami is celebrated with great enthusiasm in the month of Sawan. This festival falls on the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month. On this day, there is a law to worship the snake deity and observe fast. It is believed that by worshiping the snake deity, all the troubles of the devotee are removed. Many things should be taken special care of during the worship on this day. • On the day of Nag Panchami, wake up early in the morning and do puja after taking bath. On this day, anoint the silver Naag and Naagin with milk in the temple and pray for happiness and peace in life. It is believed that by doing this, the person gets rid of the defects related to Rahu and Ketu.
• Donating silver snakes and serpents on Naag Panchami removes obstacles in work and provides relief from Kalsarp Dosh. Apart from this, the seeker receives the blessings of the serpent god.  
• On the occasion of Nag Panchami, offer milk to the snake deity during the puja. This removes fear and family members get happiness and peace.  
• On the day of Nag Panchami, one should not use a vessel made of copper metal to offer milk to the snake deity and Shivling. A vessel made of brass is considered good for offering milk.  
•  Apart from this, stay away from using sharp objects. Doing so can be harmful and can anger the serpent god.

According to the Panchang, the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month will start on 09 August at 12:36 midnight. Whereas, it will end on 10 August at 03:14 in the night. On the basis of Udaya Tithi, the festival of Nag Panchami will be celebrated on 09 August.
