When is Mahalakshmi Vrat?

Method of Mahalaxmi Puja
In the Mahalakshmi Puja Vidhi, first of all, after taking bath etc., clean the place of worship thoroughly and sprinkle Gangajal. After this, spread a red or yellow cloth on a stool and install the idol or picture of Goddess Lakshmi. Bathe Lakshmi ji with Gangajal or Panchamrit. After this, put water, betel nut, turmeric, rice, lotus seeds and Panch Pallav in a Kalash. Place a coconut on the Kalash and install it by wrapping it with a chunari.
After this, first worship Lord Ganesha and the nine planets and after this, adorn Mahalakshmi. Offer sixteen adornments to Goddess Lakshmi. Along with this, offer lotus, durva, akshat, roli, incense, lamp, fruits, sweets and dakshina etc. In the end, pray for happiness and prosperity while performing the aarti of Goddess Lakshmi.
