News Topical, Digital Desk : SpaceX on Saturday successfully delivered a new crew of four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS).

This journey from NASA's Kennedy Space Center was completed in just 15 hours. The record for the fastest journey to the ISS is held by Russia, which transported passengers there in three hours.

The passengers who arrived at the International Space Station include Jenna Cardman and Mike Fincke of NASA, Kimiya Yui of Japan and Oleg Platonov of Russia. As soon as the capsule docked, Fincke said over the radio, "Hello, space station."

How long will these people stay in space?

Let us tell you, all these people will spend six months on the space station. Cardman and another astronaut were removed from SpaceX's flight last year to make room for two stranded NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams.

Fincke and Yui were training for the next Starliner mission. However, the two switched to SpaceX after Starliner was set to not fly until 2026 because of thrusters and other problems.

Whose place will these astronauts take?

Platonov was removed from the Soyuz launch crew some time ago due to an undisclosed illness. The arrival of astronauts on Saturday temporarily increases their number on the ISS to 11. These astronauts will replace four colleagues who have been on the ISS since March. These four will be brought back by Wednesday.
