News Topical, Digital Desk : The situation in the US capital Washington DC is getting out of control and that is why President Donald Trump has increased the deployment of the National Guard. On his request, hundreds of National Guards are being sent to the capital from West Virginia.

West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey announced on Saturday that he was sending a team of 300 to 400 people to Washington at the request of the Republican administration. His office said in a statement that they would arrive in the district with equipment and specialized training services.

"West Virginia is proud to stand with President Trump in his effort to restore the pride and beauty of our nation's capital. The men and women of our National Guard represent the best of our state, and this mission reflects our shared commitment to a strong and secure America," Morrisey said.

Trump takes control of Washington's police

Trump said during a press conference on Monday that he has implemented Section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act in the capital. Under this, the DC Metropolitan Police will now work directly under the control of the Trump administration.

He had said that our capital has been surrounded by violent gangs and criminals. The situation in Washington DC has gone out of control. It will be fixed soon. National Guard is being deployed to maintain law and order and protect the people. They will be given a free hand to do their work.
