
News Topical, Digital Desk : Lokayukta officials in Karnataka on Tuesday conducted raids in connection with a disproportionate assets case. Simultaneous raids were conducted across the state against 12 government officials, including a surveyor from the land acquisition division of the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL). The raids were carried out at several locations linked to the 12 officials.
Raids were also conducted at the houses of Jyoti Mary and Chandra Kumar.
According to Lokayukta sources, the raids began early in the morning. Those whose premises were raided include Jyoti Mary, a first-class assistant in the Health and Family Welfare Department in Hassan, Dhulappa, assistant director of the Agriculture Department in Kalaburagi, and Chandra Kumar, assistant director of the Agriculture Department in Chitradurga.
The team also reached the Road Transport Officer's place
The Lokayukta team also raided the premises of Lakshminarayana P Nayak, road transport officer of the Transport Department in Udupi, Manjunath G, medical officer of Mallasandra Maternity Hospital in Bengaluru, and Jagadish Naik, assistant executive engineer of Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited (KRIDL) in Davangere.
