
News Topical, Digital Desk : In its relentless efforts to crack down on sleeper cell modules, the state investigative agency today launched a massive search operation at eight locations in seven districts of the Kashmir Valley. The investigation revealed that some entities were involved in terrorist activities aimed at inciting public disorder and communal hatred.
The searches were carried out as part of the ongoing investigation of FIR No. 01/2025 of the CI-SIA Kashmir Police Station, which relates to a sleeper cell module operating in the Valley at the behest of terrorist commanders of the banned terrorist organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Investigation agency launched a search operation in the valley
This module is used to spread separatist propaganda and radicalize youth and recruit them into terrorist groups. Today's search operation was conducted simultaneously in seven districts across the three ranges of the valley, i.e., North, Central, and South Kashmir.
During the raids, a large quantity of incriminating material was seized and the suspects were detained for further questioning. The case relates to sleeper cells operating in the Valley at the behest of terrorist commanders of the terrorist organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed.

Preliminary investigation clearly revealed that these entities were actively involved in a terrorist conspiracy aimed not only at challenging the sovereignty and territorial integrity of India but also at inciting disaffection, public disorder and communal hatred.
This search highlights the sustained and relentless efforts of the state investigating agency to ensure that the entire module is dismantled and the roots of the terrorist ecosystem are struck at.
Currently, the investigation agency is focused on cracking down on terrorist activities in the state, especially in the Valley. For this purpose, raids and search operations are being conducted at various locations under the leadership of the State Investigation Agency (SIA).
