
News Topical, Digital Desk : Shimla News : An important decision has been taken by the Ambala Railway Division of Haryana towards making the basic rail infrastructure more secure. It has been decided to close bridge number-800 located between Jatog and Summerhill on the Kalka-Shimla railway route for 14 days due to repair work.
The movement of trains will remain closed from 30 May to 12 June 2025. Due to this repair work, four trains will be short terminated till Tara Devi station. Due to which passengers going to Shimla may face inconvenience.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Ambala Division Yashanjit Singh has issued a press note stating that to reduce this inconvenience, the Railway Administration has made a plan in collaboration with Himachal Transport Department (HRTC).
Two HRTC buses will run regularly from Tara Devi to Shimla according to the timings of the trains, so that the passengers can travel to Shimla quickly. The buses will be available near Tara Devi station located on the National Highway and will take them to ISBT Shimla. The fare of these buses has been kept at just Rs 22 per person.
The railway administration has started informing the passengers affected by this block by sending mobile messages based on their PNR number, so that they can plan their journey in advance and do not face any inconvenience at the last moment, as many passengers have already made advance bookings. They are being informed.
