News Topical, Digital Desk : In Bangladesh, a mob vandalized and set fire to the central office of Sheikh Hasina's party, the Awami League, in Dhaka's Gulistan area on Thursday. The attack was carried out by student union activists. The incident occurred amid a Dhaka lockdown announced by the Awami League.

The Awami League said that incidents of violence and terrorism were taking place across the country with the tacit support of the Yunus administration. Leaders and workers of Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of the radical Islamic party Jamaat-e-Islami, had gathered outside the Awami League office to protest against the lockdown programme.

Awami League condemned

The Awami League condemned the violence and criticized the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus. The party said, "This is the very democratic reform that Yunus and his allies are promoting. The largest and most influential political party is facing constant attacks from the interim government and its allies."

Bangladeshi tribunal to deliver verdict in Sheikh Hasina's case on November 17: Bangladesh's International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Thursday announced that it will deliver its verdict in the case against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on November 17, reports ANI.

Normal life disrupted in Dhaka

Hasina faces charges of crimes against humanity, including murder, related to last July's coup. The ICT's decision comes amid a nationwide shutdown called by Hasina's Awami League, disrupting normal life across the country, including Dhaka.
