
News Topical, Digital Desk : Bajel Projects Ltd on Saturday informed that the company has received an ultra mega power transmission order worth more than Rs 400 crore. "Bajel Projects, a leading company in the power transmission and infrastructure sector, today announced that it has received an important order from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). This order has been received on behalf of their Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) MEL Power Transmission Limited. This project falls in the ultra-mega category (₹400 crore and above)," the company said in a statement to the exchange.
The company said that PGCIL's order is related to strengthening India's transmission capacity. It includes several important works, especially for the transmission line package TL01. The contract includes the construction of a 400 kV double-circuit (D/c) transmission line, which will be about 138 km long and will connect Mahan and Rewa in Madhya Pradesh. Along with this, the expansion work of 400 kV Rewa substation is also included, which will be part of the power evacuation system from Mahan Energen Limited Generation Station. This contract is classified as an EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) project and it has to be completed within 29 months from the order date. Share performance On Friday, the company's stock closed at Rs 202 with a decline of 0.31 percent. In the last one year, the company's stock has seen a decline of 32.92 percent.
