News Topical, Digital Desk : Emcure Pharmaceuticals on Saturday said it will acquire the remaining 20.42 per cent stake in its subsidiary Zuventus Healthcare Ltd from minority shareholders for Rs 724.9 crore. Emcure Pharmaceuticals said in a regulatory filing that the company's board of directors has approved entering into an agreement with the minority shareholders of Zuventus Healthcare Ltd to acquire their shares. After completion of this transaction, Zuventus will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Emcure.

Regarding the acquisition cost, the company said that the total amount of Rs 724.9 crore will be paid in cash in one or more installments, which will be based on valuation." Currently, Emcure holds 79.58 per cent stake in Juventus. This transaction is likely to be completed in the September quarter of FY 2025-26. The company said that the domestic market remains a strategic priority for Emcure. Share performance The company's stock closed 0.57 per cent down at Rs 1,318 on Friday. The company's stock has seen a decline of 3.03 per cent in the last one year.
