According to the Meteorological Department, cold waves will grip areas from Punjab to Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Dense fog is expected in many areas during the morning. Snowfall and frost are also expected in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Uttarakhand. Ambala, Panchkula, and Chandigarh in Punjab may experience a cold wave along with light fog.

Delhi in the grip of cold wave

A yellow alert for cold wave has been issued for several districts in Delhi and the NCR. Light fog is expected in many areas of Delhi today. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature in Delhi is expected to be 20 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be 4 degrees Celsius. Winds are expected to blow at a speed of 5-10 kilometers per hour during the afternoon.

There will be no relief from cold in Rajasthan

Rajasthan is also experiencing severe cold this time. Temperatures have dropped to 2 degrees Celsius in many places. The Meteorological Department has predicted severe cold in several districts of Uttar Pradesh. This list includes Pilibhit, Moradabad, Rampur, Saharanpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, and Shahjahanpur. Mornings in these districts will begin with light fog. During the day, the sun will shine brightly and cold winds will blow.

Severe cold in MP-Bihar

According to the Meteorological Department, similar conditions will prevail in many parts of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh. People may face severe cold, especially in the morning and evening.

There will be heavy rain in 4 states

The IMD has predicted light rain in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and coastal Maharashtra, while the rest of South India is expected to experience normal weather.
