News Topical, Digital Desk : In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Sanjay Nishad, national president of the Nishad Party and a cabinet minister in the Yogi Adityanath government, staged a sit-in protest with his supporters on the GT Road National Highway in Shringverpur Dham. They were demanding the demolition of a mosque built near the Shringverpur Dham fort.

Along with the cabinet minister, a large number of his supporters are also participating in the protest with party flags in their hands, due to which a long queue of vehicles formed on the highway and traffic was affected.

Demand for removal of the mosque built near Shringaverpur Dham

Sanjay Nishad stated that the Yogi Adityanath government has included Shringaverpur Dham in the tourism circuit, where giant statues of Lord Ram and Nishadraj have been installed and a grand park has been created. However, he expressed displeasure over the poor sanitation in and around the park and demanded action against the responsible officials.

The Nishad Party claims that Shringaverpur Dham is historically the fort of Nishadraj. It is here that Lord Rama and Nishadraj Guha's friendship occurred.

This shrine holds immense historical significance. Statues depicting Lord Rama and the Nishad Raj have been installed here. Therefore, the mosque structure near this shrine should be removed. They stated that the government should heed their demand, otherwise the protests will intensify.

Sanjay Nishad broke down on stage

Earlier on Sunday, Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad held a major event in Gorakhpur. While speaking, he became extremely emotional and broke down in tears. He accused opposition parties of depriving the Nishad community of their rights and denying them opportunities for development for years.

Sanjay Nishad said that the time has come to respond to his opponents. We need to respond unitedly. He assured that he will always stand up for the future and safety of the children of his community and will continue to strongly raise the issues of his community's children.
