"He has gone to heaven...," SP MP Afzal Ansari said on Atiq Ahmed's character in Dhurandhar 2.

News Topical, Digital Desk : Politics has intensified over the portrayal of Atiq Ahmed in the Bollywood film Dhurandhar 2. Afzal Ansari, Samajwadi Party MP from Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, reacted sharply to the portrayal of Atiq Ahmed in the film Dhurandhar 2, saying that if filmmakers have developed such a passion, they can make and promote such films.

When asked about the film "Dhurandhar," the SP MP, Afzal Ansari, said, "I haven't seen that film. In our country, people working in the film industry keep making up stories. The story of the film is not based on a true incident; they write it in advance. But they do so based on how successful their film will be."  

The story should be interesting; these names can be used when they want to profit, sell movie tickets, and secure government support. Those who made a film in Atiq Ahmed's name and got him declared an ISI agent have gone to heaven. But the one who is still on this earth, creating a fake heaven, is being peddled by the government, and the one who actually committed crimes while sitting in the lap of ISI chief Dawood Ibrahim, is not being given a film.

Statement given on the character of Atiq Ahmed

Afzal Ansari said that the common people are beginning to understand how, despite taking an oath on the Constitution, those in power, and the government's employees, are flouting the law with a slavish mentality, working according to the wishes of the ruling party's politicians. Now, even film makers have become interested, so they can make and run films. If they stray from the right path, the law will take its course against them as well. If you like it, go ahead and do it. 

It should be noted that in the film Dhurandhar, the character of mafia leader Atiq Ahmed is portrayed as an agent of Pakistan's intelligence agency, the ISI, who supplied counterfeit currency notes to India. The film also depicts his death, which has been objected to by several opposition parties, who have called it government propaganda.
