News Topical, Digital Desk : Congress leader Sam Pitroda's latest statement has once again sparked controversy. This time, Pitroda advised the central government to prioritize dialogue with neighboring countries. During this, he said that he had visited Pakistan and felt at home there.

The BJP has taken a swipe at his statement. BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari said that Sam Pitroda, Rahul Gandhi's close aide and head of the Congress Overseas Party, says he feels at home in Pakistan. It's no surprise that the UPA government didn't take any strong action against Pakistan even after 26/11. Pakistan's favorite, Congress's favorite!

Advice to strengthen relations with Pakistan

Sam Pitroda has advised the central government to strengthen relations with India's neighbors, especially Pakistan. He said, “In my opinion, our foreign policy should focus primarily on our neighborhood. Can we truly improve our relations with our neighbors?”

Pitroda further said, "I've been to Pakistan. I felt at home there. I've also been to Bangladesh. I've also been to Nepal. I felt at home there too. I don't feel like I'm in a foreign country." Previously, Pitroda had also caused a stir with controversial comments on India-China relations. He had said that India exaggerates the threat from China.

Sam Pitroda rose to prominence in the 1980s as a technocrat close to then-Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. He is considered a close confidante of the Gandhi family. However, he often stirs controversy with his statements.
