News Topical, Digital Desk : There is a very beautiful waterfall in Rahatgarh of Sagar district, which is called the gateway of Bundelkhand. After heavy rains, water falls from high rocks on the Bina river, and people from far and wide come to see it. Often fatal accidents have happened while taking selfies and bathing. Collector Sandeep G R has also given instructions regarding the safety of tourists while inspecting the waterfall.

Rahatgarh Waterfall is also known as Bhalkund and Bhimkund. This waterfall is situated in the middle of dense forests. People feel delighted seeing the water falling into the pond from lush green trees on both sides and rocks about 50 feet above in the middle. It is situated on the sloping bank of the Bina River, which is crossed at this place by a beautiful bridge with fourteen arches, the construction of which was completed in 1863.

This waterfall is a centre of attraction for tourists from Sagar, Raisen, Vidisha and Bhopal. These days, there is a huge crowd of tourists at Rahatgarh waterfall. As soon as the weather clears after continuous rains, thousands of tourists have started arriving to see the Rahatgarh waterfall in Sagar district. Nets have been installed in between all of them.

Many accidents have happened here while going near the waterfall. In view of the safety of accidents, Collector Sandeep G R inspected the Rahatgarh waterfall and talked to the tourists present there. He also appealed to everyone that Rahatgarh waterfall is our natural heritage and it is our duty to keep it clean and maintain cleanliness here.

'Take care of your own safety too'

Collector Shri Sandeep G R while talking to the tourists visiting the waterfall appealed to them to come here and enjoy the waterfall, but also take care of their safety. Due to excessive water during the rainy season, tourists should watch the waterfall while maintaining a proper distance and staying safe. Avoid going too close to the waterfall.
