Here a married woman was brutally killed and set on fire allegedly because her dowry demand was not met . The deceased has been identified as Nikki , who was married to Vipin in December 2016 .
The family alleges that Nikki 's in-laws were constantly demanding Rs 35 lakh . Even after giving a Scorpio car and many other things in the wedding, their greed did not end. The deceased 's sister Kanchan has told the story related to her sister's death . According to her, on August 21, Nikki 's husband Vipin and his family members beat her badly.
After this, Nikki was set on fire by pouring inflammable substance on her. With the help of neighbors, she was first taken to Fortis Hospital, then from there she was referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. But, Nikki died on the way .

The most heartbreaking aspect of this entire case came to light when a video of Nikki 's younger son was uploaded on social media , in which he clearly says, "Papa killed mummy by burning her with a lighter ." This video is rapidly going viral on social media and huge anger is being seen among the people.

Nikki 's sister Kanchan told that she and Nikki were married in the same family. Kanchan was married to Rohit and Nikki was married to Vipin. Family members say that both the sisters were constantly harassed in their in-laws' house since their marriage. Many attempts were made to reach a compromise through the Panchayat, but the in-laws did not agree.

The police have taken swift action in this case. On the complaint of the deceased 's sister , a case has been registered in Kasna police station against husband Vipin, brother-in-law Rohit, mother-in-law Daya, and father-in-law Satveer .

Greater Noida ADCP Sudhir Kumar said that as soon as the information about the woman's death was received, the police took cognizance of the matter. After the post-mortem , the family performed the last rites. At present, the accused husband Vipin has been taken into custody and teams have been formed to arrest the other accused . Soon they will also be arrested.
