News Topical, Digital Desk : A young man (25-26 years old) was shot dead in Motihari. His body was recovered on Friday morning (October 10, 2025). The incident took place in Pakriya Tola, under the Ghorasahan police station area. The young man was Anil Kumar Ram, son of Hiralal Ram, a resident of the same area. He had been married about two years ago.
The murder has caused a stir in the area amid the election atmosphere. Anil ran a cyber cafe and was also a CSP operator. His family is inconsolable after the incident. It is reported that villagers discovered the body of a young man lying on the side of the road in the morning, prompting a crowd of people to gather nearby.
The reason behind the murder is not yet known.
Upon receiving information from villagers, police from Ghorasahan police station arrived at the scene. The body was sent to Motihari Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem. After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family. Anil's brother stated that he had left the house between 2 and 3 a.m. last night. Someone had called him or he had gone to meet someone. We learned of the incident in the morning when villagers found his body on the roadside. Upon arriving, we found the body covered in blood. The family did not offer any motive for the murder.
On the other hand, the incident is being viewed as a personal dispute as well as a love affair. Motihari Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat stated that an SIT has been formed under the leadership of the Sikrahna DSP to investigate the case. A dog squad and FSL team have arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation. Those involved in the murder will soon be identified and arrested.
