The life journey of voice artist and actor Vijay Vikram Singh, who has come out of Kanpur and is making a new identity in Bollywood, is also similar. 'Big Boss chahte hain...' Vijay's face is behind this powerful and intimidating voice. Vijay Vikram Singh says, 'I had dreamt of becoming a soldier since childhood. Grandfather used to call me Brigadier Veer Vikram Bahadur Singh Rajput. After graduation, I gave the SSB exam eight times and was rejected every time. I could not tolerate this failure and completely drowned myself in alcohol. However, my studies continued.
Vikram was addicted to alcohol
After doing my MBA from BHU, I got a job in a private company in Satna, Madhya Pradesh. One morning, when I woke up, I had a terrible pain in my stomach. The doctors referred me to PGI, Lucknow. The doctor told my mother that my liver was almost destroyed because of alcohol. There was only a 10 percent hope of survival. I was admitted in the hospital for 35 days. After a month, when I saw sunlight from the window, I regained consciousness. There was a day when I used to be drowned in alcohol and now is the day when I have not even touched alcohol.
Left government job for Bigg Boss?
Vijay further says, 'After returning from the hospital, I got a government job in MSTC in Kolkata. From there I got transferred to Mumbai. At a party, a friend of a friend said that your voice is very powerful. Do some experiments with it. The next day she took me to the studio. For the first time I recorded my voice with headphones. I started working on my voice at the age of 29.
He joined Bigg Boss in the year 2010
I took training. I started recording along with my job. Then I left the government job and started working in an FM channel. One day I was called as a narrator in 'Dance India Dance'. From here my voice started getting recognition. After two years, I got a call from the media company Endemol for voice narration and on October 2, 2010, I joined 'Big Boss'. Since then, I have been the voice behind 'Big Boss' .
Has given training to many actresses
One day someone suggested that if you want to strengthen your voice, then join theatre. I followed the advice. I got to play the role of Chanakya in a play called 'Alexander vs Chanakya'. This play was loved a lot. In 2018, I got a call for audition to work in the web series 'Family Man'. This is where my career in acting began. Currently, apart from 'Family Man', I have acted in web series like 'Undekhi-3', 'Special Ops' and 'Farzi' and the film 'Chhava'. Along with this, I have given training to Sushmita Sen and Sharvari Wagh on voice control. Sushmita Sen even calls me 'Teacherji'.
