The clouds are raining heavily in the monsoon season. It was dark in Noida NCR till evening on Saturday and then there was heavy rain along with lightning. Noida has been drenched with rain water which has brought relief from the humid heat, but people returning home from their workplaces had to face a lot of problems due to water logging and traffic jams. This water logging also became a cause of trouble for two-wheelers.
Water filled in streets
After the rain in Noida's Sector 44, the streets turned into rivers, due to which people had to struggle a lot to reach their homes through knee-deep water. This water logging happened in Sector 44, Sector 19, DND Overhead, Sector 34, City Center, near Center Stage Mall, Sector 27.
Rain in Noida has given great relief to people from the heat. But this rain brought trouble for people returning home from office in the evening. Due to waterlogging at many places, a jam-like situation arose.
There was a long traffic jam on DND, Film City, Mahamaya and Noida, Greater Noida Expressway from Chilla Border of Noida. People were seen crawling in their vehicles due to the traffic jam on the road. A journey of just a few minutes is now taking hours.
Meteorological department issued alert
The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert and said that the rain will continue like this for the next few hours. According to the department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in NCR and heavy rain at some places.
The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to be cautious while crossing the road and driving vehicles during this period, especially in waterlogged areas, there is a high possibility of slipping and jam.
